Rules and guidelines for using our firmware backup files

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using FWBackups ("we," "our," or "us") and our website at fwbackups.com (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this Service.

By Using Our Service, You Agree To:

  • Follow all terms and conditions outlined below.
  • Accept full responsibility for any damage to your device.
  • Use our services only for legitimate device repair purposes.
  • Allow advertisements to be displayed (as they fund this free service).

2. Description of Service

FWBackups provides firmware backup files for mobile devices. These files are dumps/extractions from working devices, intended solely for attempts at device restoration ("unbricking") and fixing firmware-related errors.

3. Nature of Firmware Files

3.1 What Our Files Include

Raw Backup Dumps:

Our files are raw partition backups extracted directly from devices. Please note the following regarding file structure:

  • Structure Varies: Backups may or may not include mapping files (such as scatter.txt for MTK or rawprogram0.xml for Qualcomm) depending on the extraction method used.
  • File Formats: Partition images may come in various formats including .img, .bin, or simply as raw data files without extensions.
  • Single Dumps: Files are provided "as is" from the source device state.

3.2 What Our Files Do NOT Include

Strict Exclusion Policy (No Auth/Official Tools):

  • NO Auth/DA Files: We DO NOT provide official Download Agents (DA), Firehose Loaders, Authentication (.auth) files, or proprietary flashing certificates. You must source these separately if your tool requires them.
  • No Modified Firmware: We provide raw dumps without modifications. We do not offer "Pre-Rooted" or "Patched" firmware.
  • No Bypass Tools: We do not provide files to bypass FRP (Google Account), Mi Account, or iCloud.
  • No IMEI Repair: We do not provide files to restore, repair, or change IMEI numbers.

4. MANDATORY BACKUP REQUIREMENT

This is the most important rule of using our service. Please read carefully.

100% MANDATORY BACKUP:

Before flashing ANY file from our website, you MUST create a full backup of your device's current state.

  • Even if your device is "Bricked": You must read and save the current partitions.
  • Why is this mandatory? Our files are backups from other devices. If they are not 100% compatible with your specific hardware revision, you may need to restore your device to its previous state.
  • Without a backup: If you proceed without a backup, you risk leaving your device permanently dead with no way to recover it.

5. Firmware Capabilities

5.1 Intended Use

Our Files Are Intended To Fix:

  • DM-Verity Errors: Corruption messages.
  • Bootloops: Stuck at logo.
  • Soft Bricks: System corruption where the device is still detected.

6. NO RESPONSIBILITY DISCLAIMER

We provide these files as a free resource for technicians and advanced users, but we cannot control how they are used or how your specific hardware will react.

STRICT LIABILITY WAIVER:

FWBackups is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage to your device.

  • Hardware Damage: We are not liable if your device suffers a "hard brick" (permanent failure) or dead boot.
  • Data Loss: We are not liable for the loss of user data, photos, or contacts.
  • Loss of Identifiers: We are not liable for lost IMEI, MAC addresses, or calibration data.
  • Worsening Condition: We do not guarantee our files will fix your device; in some cases (due to hardware incompatibility), flashing may make the condition worse.

By downloading, you agree that you are performing these technical procedures entirely at your own risk.

7. Advertising and Free Access

To keep our vast database of firmware files free for everyone, we use third-party advertising to cover our server and maintenance costs.

By using this site:

  • You agree to the display of advertisements (via Google AdSense and others).
  • You understand that these ads allow us to provide high-speed downloads without charging you.
  • We ask that you consider disabling ad-blockers to support the community.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use our services for:

  • Illegal Unlocking: Unlocking stolen devices.
  • Security Circumvention: Bypassing factory reset protections (FRP).
  • Reselling: Selling our free backup files on other platforms.
  • Malicious Intent: Creating malware or modified firmware to harm others.

9. Intellectual Property

All firmware files remain the intellectual property of their respective manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, etc.). We provide these backups under fair use principles for repair and interoperability purposes only. We do not claim ownership of the OS software.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Dominican Republic.
